Gardens must have the honey bee to pollinate the flowers and vegetables. Much of the food we consume today would not be available without pollination. Honey is the product of the bee we prize for both it’s sweetness and increasingly for its nutritional value.
Honey should be stored on your counter or in a pantry. Honey should not be refrigerated. Honey will not support bacterial growth and will not spoil. Honey should not be fed to infants under the age of 1 year.
Honey bees must fly 55,000 miles and visit two million flowers to produce one pound of honey.
